Friday, 20 January More Bears! If you have not read this book, you must!
December 20, at 8: The 5-mile mandatory jog completed, he was taking a break from the stream. The soothing gurgle of the rippling water cooled his nerves. They had shot up here really quick and it was all he could do to train himself to keep calm.
Flowing water was a sound he used pretty often to calm down. He hated periods of inaction. When he was in the thick of the action, his nerves were absolutely calm. It was during these times when everything was still, and nothing happening, that his nerves began to climb the octaves of jitteriness.
This was the sixth day of nothing happening.
And he was getting wound up beyond normal. Why did they assign him here? He had run his brain through every possible explanation, and always came up blank. They said it was a testing process.
He would see, was all the response he got.
Believe me, this is big. And that was the end of the briefing. All he needed to do was stay at the cabin for as long as he was told to. Axel fingered the earpiece stuck inside his ear. He was told to wear it at all times. Even during his sleep. Communications needed to be 24 hours non-stop.
He closed his eyes and felt his gun stuck in his belt behind his back. The kids have fun thinking of all the food snowmen might eat.
Some of our favorite snowmen snacks are marshmallows and hot chocolate.
;-) Once they have successfully planned a snowman party, using the party planner worksheet, they create their own party invitation. Like I said before, I got this party idea from a friend.
And also this cupcake idea. The "popcorn" is yellow colored snowmen marshmallows that Alex and I twisted up and put on top of cupcakes. These kindergarten math activities are the perfect way to get your young learners excited about numbers and early math concepts.
Combining art, crafts, games, and fun, children will enjoy exploring and building foundational math skills such as counting, sorting, adding, and even creating and solving.
When the quarter is over, I use this sheet along with a current writing sample to come up with a grade. Explore Judy Deepe's board "Winter: Snowmen Writing" on Pinterest.
